Preventing occupational risks is a never-ending challenge of major social and economic importance. Hereby, the human being is the focus.

The ultimate goal of the competition is to disseminate information on all recent and innovative good prevention practices that may further reduce occupational accidents and health damages. Another goal is to make all people working in the construction industry more aware of the risks they encounter or create for themselves or others and to enable them to play an active part in the fight against these risks.

With this aim in view, the ISSA Construction Section launches the Competition "Innovation Prize - Good Prevention Practices" in the framework of its international Symposium that will take place in Brussels in November 2009. 

Thanks to this competition, the best "Good Prevention Practices" will be made public, honoured and put at disposal of a large international public.
